@Margaret: I don’t know what to tell you except to present the facts about second hand smoke and how it hurts their kids. Maybe give her a copy of the surgeon general’s report (linked above) or better yet if the granddaughter is old enough, have her give the report to her mom. You would think parents would care about their kids enough to prevent them from being around second hand smoke. Unfortunately we can’t regulate common sense.

I have a granddaughter that complains to me about her mom, stepdad and aunt all smoking in the car with the windows up. How do you get through to some people.

I am a smoker, and I still think this is great..I have been trying to get daddy to stop smoking in the car with our son, and maybe this will convince him!
